This Expansion leverages my work with User Experience Design. In this case, the focus is primarily on site navigation.
Complex websites with many layers of content need to provide visitors with an intuitive navigation experience on both desktop and mobile. There are several ways to make this happen, and it all depends on the engagement. For example, on this website, you will notice that the sidebar on the right ( or the bottom of the page on mobile), contains on-page navigation. On a desktop browser, this provides easy access to sub-pages of the Expansion Library section without requiring going back to the main menu and navigating three layers deep just to go to the another page in this section. On mobile, I use an approach that makes three layer deep navigation smooth.
An even more complex example is found here http://tol-inc.com/products/adi-hydraulic-pruning-tools/
This website contains a left side-bar with navigation. The top level of each navigation section results in a landing page that itself has image-based navigation on it, and the sidebar menu changes to show only the submenus appropriate for the selected section. The mobile navigation experience is also intuitive.
Navigation Enhancements can also be used to furnish specific navigation by member role, current page or section of the website, and other conditional displays based on your needs.
All Work Fully Documented
All Expansions include user guides and site integration maps so that you retain full control of your environment even after my work is finished. If you need to get another technical entity involved, those documents (and in some cases videos) will make that easy to do. The site integration map describes how your site is put together. It also contains a list of plugins, themes, custom code explanations, or other aspects that would be required knowledge for an outside entity to successfully recreate or work with your website.
